About Katie

Hi, I'm Katie! Welcome to my blog, where I ramble about anything and everything. I'm 20 years old, a junior at Boston College and am pursuing a major in International Studies and a minor in French. I'm currently studying abroad at Sciences Po in Paris. I plan on keeping this experience well-documented by blogging every single day, even if my entries consist of only a few new words I learned, or a new picture I took. I love photography, traveling, reading, and cooking. I love all kinds of music; check out what I'm listening to at last.fm. Check out some more random facts about me, if you're so inclined...

    Cafénation = love.

    Sooo, new obsession: Caf?nation. It’s an adorable little coffee shop/creperie in Brighton. It’s a 21 minute walk from my dorm to the door of this little niche. I ordered and iced coffee and a tuna melt on a crepe…and both were excellent. Definitely work the trek to get here.

    Anyways, so I’ve been sitting at the bar in front of the window working on my (awful) International Studies final paper for a few hours, and my eyes and mind are starting to wander. I’ve been staring out the window for about 20 minutes, and in that brief span I’ve encountered some interesting individuals. There was one guy who drove by in his car with one of those old-fashioned pipes. There was another lady carrying one of those tiny little daffodils. I saw what must have been a 107-year old woman parallel park in seriously 6.7098 seconds…impressive.

    Crap, so I really have to get to work. Point of story: this place is FABULOUS and you should check it out if you’re in town. But don’t worry French Press, you’re still number one in my heart.
