Un autre jour de soleil

My glorious Keds in the Jardin du Luxembourg, with the Eiffel Tower in the backgroundNot much to report, today!  I had an assignment due at noon, so I was finishing that up this morning before my 10:15 class.  I went to class, in which we talked about political cartoons and their role in persuading the youth one way or another.  After class, I came back to the apartment and worked on re-writing one of my policy papers for a bit.  I didn’t get much done…

…I mean, how could I?  The sun was shining down on my beautiful Paris, and I simply HAD to get out of the apartment and into the Jardin du Luxembourg.  They do say, after all, that a little bit of sunshine is good for the body and soul.

I ran into darling Chrissy, we grabbed a couple of comfy green chairs, and began to strip down to our t-shirts.  She showed me her accomplishments of the day: a brand, new dress from H&M, and a beautiful English cookbook with recipes for traditional French food, replete with a stamp from my personal favorite bookstore, Shakespeare & Co.  We then proceeded to have a lovely life chat while letting the sun beat down on our skin to erase the traces of winter.

After Chrissy left, I finished reading Five People You Meet in Heaven.  I really enjoyed the book, and it reminded me to live life to the fullest and to care about each and every person we meet (or don’t meet) because we are all interconnected in some way.  I have to see the movie, now, which Kelsey said is a real tearjerker.  Can’t wait!

Anyways, I’m off to finish the rest of my policy paper re-write…maybe…

Spread the love.

Hey guys, I'm Katie! Welcome to my blog, where I ramble on about anything and everything. I'm 22 years old, a soon-to-be graduate of Boston College, pursuing a degree in International Studies and a minor in French. I spent last spring studying abroad at Sciences Po in Paris, so most of my entries and extra content consist of stories and photos of my cultural experiences, my passionate love affair with French food, my close encounters of the third wine, and my ramblings about crazy French people. I love photography, traveling, reading, and cooking. I love all kinds of music; check out what I'm listening to at last.fm. I also enjoy a good tweet now and again. Check out some more random facts about me, if you're so inclined...
