Spain. TOMORROW!
I finally finished working on the analysis of my sociology survey, so I’ve been trying to get the rest of my life together. I’m checking the internship listings on the BC database religiously, but nothing seems to be coming up. Also, I know I’m a bit behind on blogging, but things have just been…well, crazy, for lack of a better word. I PROMISE I will go back and update the days from my London trip after I get back from Spain, and I PROMISE that I will up the rest of my pictures that I’ve taken over the past week and a half. I just have to…get everything together.
Oh, I posted some new LINKS in the ‘Cool Links’ table! I’ve gotten really into food blogs since I’ve been over here, particularly Joy the Baker and Sprouted Kitchen. They have amaaazing pictures of their food, great recipes, and in general just a captivating writing style. I want their lives. I have also been reading a blog called French Word-A-Day for several months now. I really like how Kristin (the author) writes about her life on a vineyard in the South of France with her French husband, while at the same time providing some good French vocabulary. I also want her life. Anyone want to give me a job in food photography, food writing, or on a vineyard (French husband included…)?
Back to reality…Environmental Diplomacy was pretty boring today. We had the Ambassador to France from Ecuador come to speak with us. The format of these speakers is supposed to revolve around a student-led interview, but this man kept rambling on and refused to let the interviewer guide the discussion. It made it very difficult to pay attention…which is why I was making a list of things I needed to do for the rest of the day. This involved a mix of printing boarding passes and restaurant recommendations from friends for Spain, and packing.
I thus am once again faced with the difficult task of packing my life for 4 days into a little backpack, which as I’ve explained in the past, is not as easy as it sounds. Between clothing, toiletries, a towel, and my camera & journal, the bag fills up pretty quickly. I’m determined to get everything to fit, with a bit of room to spare so that I can come back with some goodies from Spain.
Warm, Spanish sunshine, here I come!
Espagne. DEMAIN!
Spain. TOMORROW!
